Elam Biggs
The Elam Biggs Home was built in 1892 by one of Grass Valley's foremost successful merchants. This beautiful Queen Anne Victorian is set amidst a large yard surrounded by tall, old shade trees and a rose-covered picket fence. All this is just a short stroll to historic downtown Grass Valley.
This grand home is a perfect setting for that special time away, or a stepping stone to the history of the Gold Rush Era. When Elam Biggs built this house for his family, it was said to be "the most modern and scientific of its time." Each of the five cozy and spacious rooms has a private bath and either a king- or queen-sized bed.
In the morning you will be greeted by the aroma of fresh brewed coffee and a hearty breakfast served in the lovely dining room or outside on the private porch.
The Elam Biggs Home is a very attractive setting for intimate weddings, receptions, and private gatherings. Delightful tea parties and magical entertainment are also available.

Swan Levine House

Swan Levine House
Located in the heart of beautiful downtown Grass Valley, Howard Levine and Margaret Warner Swan have developed their guest house around their interest in printmaking. The house is a gallery full of their work and the work of other artists. A discussion of the fine art of printmaking can be followed by the opportunity to make an etching, monotype or lithograph in the studio next to the Inn. The studio is also available to printmakers on daily or monthly terms. The atmosphere is very informal and casual.
The Swan-Levine house is a gracious home in a turn of the century Queen Anne style. The four guest rooms reflect the time period, but each has a unique character owing to decor complete with original art work, prints, and antique furnishings.
If you're looking for a two-room suite with a queen canopy bed, or a room with its own kitchen, refrigerator and microwave, or a room with a separate sitting room and a fireplace, or just looking forward to soaking in an old fashion claw foot tub, you've come to the right place.
